Closing Corporations
It is possible to close a corporation independent of its value. There are several exceptions: Corporations cannot be closed if the country is involved in war or when there are offers outstanding to purchase the corporation. The max number of corporations that can be closed each month is three. Closing valuable corporations was in the past misused to create shortages on the market. New accounts were created briefly with the sole purpose of closing corporations. This was the reason for limitations on value and numbers of corporations that a player can close each game month.
The limitation does not apply to full members. Closing of corporations is easy for full members while the risk of misuse is much reduced.
Closing many corporations in a single game month remains as unrealistic as before.
With 150.000 to 200.000 workers per corporation, closing 3 corporations in a single month, and firing 0.5 million people, is quite significant.
