Gamemaster unfair treatment to 12+ country owners Status: Please read our response

Detailed Description:

I currently own 19 countries and have spent much time, effort and money into managing these countries. The Gamemaster has chosen to reward my efforts with rediculously high levels of Earthquakes, terrorist attacks etc. This is obviously a ploy to cause me to have to pump my real cash into the Game money to keep them functioning. If I don't invest this money, the heavy expense and burdens on my countries will eventually put them in major financial trouble.

I have alot of military troops and a large amount of strategic weapons. If this rediculous unrealistic attack on my countries continues, I will have to either give up my countries or somehow make a stand with the Gamemaster. They have taken my hard earned cash for many months and now want to drain me dry.

I refuse to put anymore money into this SIMCountry game unless they remove this unfair attack on my countries. Therefore, I will put this in everyones hands. If this continues, I will walk from my countries, but before that, I will attack in full force against other countries and cause as much damage as I can. I have a few freinds out there, please don't take this as a threat on you.

Yes, I am very upset about this and have only the money that I already invested in this game to lose. You can vote on whether the Gamemaster should remove this rediculous attack on countries of 12 or more or not. I give the Game master 5 days after the end of this poll to remove their attack! After that 5 days, I will be the attacker!

W3Creative reaction:

The suggestion is outrageous. Nothing like this takes place and nothing is changed in the way the empires game functions.

The number of earthquakes or any other attacks is completely unrelated to the number of countries in an empire. Any so-called observation to the contrary is baseless and just nonsense. If you have 10 countries, the chance of an earthquake in one of the countries is 10 times higher because you have 10 times as many countries and one of them might be hit.

There is nothing in the game that hits countries for any special reason and the process is based on a random function. The earthquake rates have been reduced several times in the past months, based on reasonable and motivated requests by some players. The chances are smaller but the function is the same, based on random, each country is treated separately with no empire connections what so ever. (this would be hard to implement and makes no sense at all).

Large empires do have higher cost of government. We assume that large empires are less efficient, need more policing and more management and the cost of government is much higher.

The cost is in fact much higher when there are many countries, (more than 20), and having a profitable empire becomes difficult. We have published this several times and warned players to limit their holdings and prevent the high cost.

We think that large empires have a lot of advantages and the higher government cost makes it a challenge, not just a virtue.

Large empires could otherwise conquer 80 or even 200 countries and limit the capacity of the world to accommodate players. There is a limit to the size of a footprint of a single player on the worlds in Simcountry.
