The Employment Index
The employment index is in fact the percentage of people in the country that are employed. The percentage is computed by dividing the number of people employed, by the number of people that can be employed x 100.
The number that can be employed, is smaller than the number of adults in the country, the number does not include the sick and disabled and does not include people who are 65 years and older.
