Do I need an army?
You need a defensive army or you can choose to become a peaceful player. There are always some countries that will start wars and you must defend yourself. Follow the instructions on the daily newspapers on what you need. Purchase a defensive radar plane and build the army slowly so you do not run your country into bankruptcy. If you want to, you can later start building the offensive and strategic armies.
You can also choose to become a peaceful country and never participate in any wars. This option is added to the game to enable players who are not interested in war to participate with no sleepless nights of worrying about a possible attack. Once you choose to be a peaceful country, there is no way back. No other country will ever be able to attack you and you will have no way of attacking any other country.
