Ok, I agree and understand for this to happen whe you FIRST take over a C3. I understand that they have to rebel and destroy the economy to get the new president to leave. But one thing I do not understand is, if you are doing a better job, and the country is going nowhere but up, why do they keep attacking? I mean, don't they die, or get tired?

Like I said, I think rebels are a good addition to the game, but if the president is doind a good job, and the economy is getting better, the people are happy, why cant the rebels fade out after a certain period of time. This makes no sense, or is in any way realistic. Can't the staff let us at least have this one. Rebels don't help the game, they make it look unattractive.

No. That is recent. That's realistic.

I would agree with what you stated if say, I took a country that had a president that was active. I would make sense that the rebels from this country would continually attack to deter me from running the country.

I was reffering to a C3. You can't compare iraq, to a C3. Or any country in this world for that matter. =/

Well, C3 countries are certainly better run than most! :)

I would even daresay that their leaders, as embodied by the program instructions, have more sense, more honour, and possibly a better developed soul than the vicious thugs that run all too many real-world countries.

C3 countries are supposed to be simulating real countries run by real people. So why shouldn't they do what real people do when foreigners take over?

The feature isn't around for it's "realistic" effect at all. It's only around to discourage single presidents who would like to own 100+ countries. That's why the more countries you own, the worse the rebellions get.

Ok. the point is, how long can this rebels last?

Do they breed with their own sisters? cousins?

Rebels should not last an exetnsive amount of time. They should last only untill the country is running well, and the economy is booming.

Why are they still choosing to live in the gutter, attack my corps, and run for the hills.

I think if there are going to be rebels in this game. There should also be some kind of police to ensure the countries well being.

Oh, and so long as a U.S.-picked gov't is ruling Iraq, there will be rebellions. Take a look at the shrinking Palestinian lands for reference. The U.S. and Israel as democracies aren't allowed the crushing brutality that ends rebellions like similarly unpopular dictators possess. Although not for a lack of effort on Israel's, or increasingly our (The U.S.)'s part. As I'm sure you've heard, we've recently brought back air strikes. Might not be too long before we're bulldozing marketplaces like Israel.

I believe it is the welfare index that has a large part to play in suppressing rebellions. Potentially some other indexes too like financial, health etc. Treboria has not had rebel attacks for ages and it heads 12 countries. My smaller less developed countries still get attacked often. Maybe try building adequate infrastructure like schools, hospitals etc as they seem to have quelled my rebellious ones..
