You have to be very careful of who you get into bed with, metaphorically speaking.
If a player controls several countries or doesn't pay enough attention to things like education then there is a good chance of civil unrest.
I found that out to my very painful cost.
I have 4 CEOs and I have lost over 150 corps in 3 weeks because of civil unrest in countries where the pressies were friendly and let me build.
Countries to be wary of, and this is no reflection on their presidents, are Pawnking and Cymru

I too know the pain all to well, I had extensively built in cymru's empire before the changes. Actually like over 75% of my companies where built in there. So when they changed it I was getting hit like 6 or 7 times a day. Which is pretty staggering when you consider I only had about 100 companies at the time. If he hadn't reacted so quick and dumped his extra countries I would have been basically wiped out in 2 weeks time.
But its worth the risk, cause I'm tired of waiting 3 months to build in c3s.

So am I but what can we do?
I also have 8 countries so I do have some room to build, and there seems to be something wrong with buying corps at moment. You cannot view another players corps, keeps tossing you back to the log in screen.

I´d invite you to build, buy or move to the countries in the MoN federation. I´ve got the education/finance/healthz based unrests pretty much under control now (at least until the next change in game mechanics, that is ;) ) and would welcome every form of CEO engagement in my countries.
This invitation extends to all CEO´s out there, of course!

Glad to see you got yourself back on track, will certainly have a look when I want more corps building

Yep, the last change was a challenge, took me totally by surprise

If you'd like to build in the Reformed Protectorate of Anglia, feel free. I've still got a massive unemployment rate (about 30%, down from 80+ when I started) and certainly could use the added corporations.
