@ Plague, Your frustration is understandable, but please remember, a short time ago, the Gold World was divided, in some respect, into two games. 1: The War Game. 2: An Economic Game (Peaceful status). The Game God's found it necessary to appease both sides.

The warring aspect has also been going through some sort of metamorphosis. Previously, some weapon systems were all but immune to a Countries defenses. For example, I was able to take a C3 Country in a matter of 2 hours game play, utilizing nothing but Special Forces Units and Rapid Deployment Units. They wreaked total devastation and I did not suffer one casualty. Now .... you need to supplement those forces with support units, such as any of the Heavy Mechanized type. And now, losses are incurred. I have given up on the warring aspect (for now) and have a wait-and-see attitude to how things develop. My "conquered" Countries are on autopilot now and are just people factories. I enjoy the economic portion aspect of the game as well. I buy/sell the stock market daily. One Country is enough. How can someone find the time for 22 Countries is mind-boggling?

Maybe you should not just throw in the towel all together. The free worlds still have "War" in its blood. The best choice for that is the world Fearless Blue.

Since war is a full time job there, you might enjoy that more. Besides, it's free. You just have to tolerate a "reset" once in a while. Since it resets, you can kill your enemies over and over, and have a good time doing it.

War ranges are in place for a reason. You can't expect a Heavy Jeep to traverse water to another Continent. That's a job for the Navy and your Seals Units. Give it time. This game is ever developing, maturing, by trial and error. The Game God's are very receptive to your e-mails and suggestions. Give it a try, contact them. They will listen. This game is a "work in progress". It will have its moments of burps, with an occasional barf as well. A little TLC will make it all better.

Now, take your aspirin and call us in the morning.

Plague,

Once upon a time in GR:

1. Nuclear Submarines were invincible.

2. Static Defense was impossible.

Anyone could take any country on the offensive within 2 hours.

Has the pendulum swung too far the other way? I'm not the best to ask, having a Peaceful Country. :) However, WC3 designed Simcountry hoping it to be primarily an economic game, not the shooting gallery it's regularly become.

1. Nuclear Submarines were invincible.

I remember that horrible time! All the best countries of the world could been conquered with 10attacks. I had over 5000MIB per target and they usually intercepted 2nukes per attack rofl
