Actually I'm buying on initial contracts for -10.

As they fluxuate some items creep over market and others are as much as 40% under. It takes several game months for anything to really have an effect less if whatever it was you where buying was low in the corp.

It seems the largest effect appears to be by limiting the amount of product a corp buys (for me anyway).

I tried unchecking automatic buying for corps that had consumption contracts for everything. That of course stops automatic buying and if the corp runs out then production drops to 100%.

What appears to be working better is on the corps I have 100% consumption contracts for is a buying strategy of -15 with a 5% monthly increase.

Some corps still run out of somethings and have production cut .. but for now anyway most seem to find a supply before it's that critical.

Additionally if you do have 100% in consumption covered by contract you could always do an immediate order for 2 months. Depending on what the production is (i.e. 121 vs 100) that normally appears to not bother things much.

I've got a lot of "tweaking" to do but it's obvious some corps have been turned and many are showing good signs of it.

Negative values being under market price .. in the trade strategies that would of course be over if you entered it that way.

So, while war is and should be a part of the game, for quite a few GR players i think its viewed as a nessecary evil rather than an attraction

Those people are more than welcome to open ceo accounts. =]
