each hospital employes 1700 nurses, 550 doctors and 300 senior doctors, 2550 medical staff in total and can treat only 1000 patients at the time. thats 2.5 on one patient. shouldnt it be just the way around? with milions of wounded in each takover only a small part can be treated, if anyone should even make an attempt.

i imagine war hospital a place where wellbeeing of patients is a secondary goal. first is to keep them alive. at this moment war patients in hospitals are treated like kings while others just lying around and dying untreated.

rate at which untreated die is too slow. you can have wounded 8 years after war has finished. they might even die of old age prior to their wounds...

war is a factory for making disabled people. if wounded are treated, death rate should be low and more people would come out disabled as they lose their legs, arms or something else in war.

anyway, do i have to bring health index above 100 to be able to convert to war hospitals? now it is around 80, i have wounded and none can be converted.

What I have hinted at in posts before that I hope WC3 can take a look at now is allowing 3rd countries to accept the war wounded of a country for advanced treatment.

Right now I'm 131 Hospitals over the Quality benchmark. (Granted, 2-3 dozen will soon be converted to rehabilitating the disabled.) However, even at 36 Hospitals for the disabled, that would still give me 95000 excess beds. I could easily take a number of war wounded for treatment if allowed.

In addition, I agree that War Hospitals should have a lower Staffing ratio, though not necessarily THAT low. As anyone who has watched the sitcom "M*A*S*H*" knows, war hospitals are for "meatball surgery".

I agree with the points raised above. I have built up a significant number of hospitals (about 1000) and see almost no reason as for having them even with the amendments made by WC3.

I agree that the death rate should be higher if you do not have any hospitals and even geared to more dying closer to the war date and this trailing off as people will be getting better treatment.

I am looking forward though, to getting the several million disabled I have in Pawnkingia off the DL as I have always thought that proportion in the game was too high!!

The female players we've had on here have been the loudest about the number of housewives. :)

50% sound like a good figure for War Hospitals?

lol, Pawnkingia
you will have to come up with another kind of rehabilitation facilities for housewives. i dont think they are home to babysit their children cos their number doesnt fall after they get older... probably they are married with high tech executives and can live without care :)

it seems WH were just implemented when i first logged in today, i can convert them normally now.

i will only use them to help wounded from rebel attacks. but it will be interesting to see someone taking C3 with 20mil population and 45 health index. casaulties will probably be 3 times higher as till now. i sure hope wounded do not appear on social security payment list :)

huray, just when i was getting frustrated with number of war hospitals i would need only to take care of rebels attcks i saw this in my newspaper:

The Moss champion liberation movement has attacked Richmond Construction building corporation to destabilize the economy and to discourage the foreign occupation forces in the country. There were 749 casualties and 1926 people were wounded.

The Moss champion liberation movement has attacked MS Alexandria Computers computers corporations to destabilize the economy and to discourage the foreign occupation forces in the country. There were 499 casualties and 1840 people were wounded.

rebels have finnaly come to their senses. they stoped behaving like they want to exterminate their own people, but they can still knock out the factory...

another problem with war hospitals:
why do patients always tend to be in those that are most crowded? i would expect them to go from full hospitals to more empty ones if they are avaliable, but they do just the opposite.

this way if i have 10 war hospitals and 10.000 wounded it will take 11 months instead of 4 to take care of them...

casualties among soldiers are now ridiculous as Faith already complained.
