Due to mid-world war weapons changes, empires can now be made invincible. Although mine isn't quite there yet, I am going to remove my empire from my federation and invite anyone in the world to conquer at least one of my countries. I will not use offensive or strategic weapons. This goes for you too Jozi, manifest yourself some weapons and try to take my country.

And this is not complicated to do. Buy tons of Defensive Helis, Interceptors, ammo for each (especially helicopter land missiles), and tons of Missile Interceptor Batteries. Due to recent manpower changes this won't take up hardly of your workforce. Toss some Anti-Aircraft Missile Batteries in there as well in case they haven't fixed the bugs yet. Do these things well enough and voila, invincible empire.

Perhaps in my frustration I was not clear enough. Due to weapons changes in the past couple of days, war against basically defended empires has been made quite literally pointless. To the point that I don't think even lifting the 10k limits would help.

Why was it made this way? Was it because countries were being overtaken left and right? Nope, during the largest war in the history of simcountry, there has not been a single major conquest. So what conclusion does w3c draw from this? They decide that defenses aren't powerful enough.

Countries are conquered each game month. We had periods with many conquests, it is now average one per game month on GR for the last period.

We have looked into the war logs and we have done much more of it in the last week. We see imbalances and we received detailed logs proving excellent examples. Our interest is in making the war process fair.

If someone finds a way to blow away a country because we mistyped some number, then it should be corrected.

Where the money argument comes in is unclear to me.
I do not think that the total income we have from the game, pays even for one day of our engineers each month. If we were doing it for the money, we were out of here long ago.

Nothing is invincible but it can be made very difficult. Thats OK, why not. Invincible too is not wrong. But two huge armies can grind each other to dust even if no one wins.

I saw a war on the log with one country left with 2600 fortifications. It can be taken but it takes some time and it builds more faster than you can take them out. Fine with me if this is his game and it works for him.

I usually don't get involved in these debates, but I think that this leaves a few things unsaid.

A large number of Simcountry players would like war to become a part of the game. Yes, the way the 12M introduced massive-scale warfare may have been shocking to some, but the Monkeys were truly given no other option of they wanted to play they game they way it "works for them".

So if conventional (by this I mean non-bug) warfare is effectively removed from the game, the war-liking players will have two options:

1) Leave. Most already have.

2) Conquest by Jozi's typos. If true warfare becomes essentially impossible, as it is by the current rules, warfare will still happen. But it will happen against the gamemaster as well as the defender - bug exploitation will be the only method of conquest against even mildly defended players.

On a current note, bug exploitation is considered reprehensible by the Monkeys as well as by most other major factions.

If attackers have to destroy thousands of forts (4 attacks every 5 minutes; we all can do the math) before being able to take a country that was defended with little to no effort on the president's part, I say bring on the Typokrieg.

*This may or may not reflect 12M opinion. This will certainly be my method of warfare if the current rules stay, however.

I'd say that this is likely untrue, considering their behavior during the war, and plagues latest comments:


Hymy are u talkin about me and as far as i am concerned there are no bugs. I mean the whole game sucks its so unrealistic and the so called bugs go with the way u are able too play this suckful game. The bugs are just a feature that people like u are unable to find in the first place. And dont forget anyone can use these BUGS.

If there are so many people who want to fight wars, why don't they just fight each other. If they did this instead of what they did, they wouldn't have such problems now.
