Simcountry: Simcountry Bulletin Board  Country Giveaway

These countries do not have good economies, and don't have many weapons, I've only been using them for transfers. But they do have a decent amount of cash in them, and decent populations too I think.

Erehwon, Cyriac, and Hymyland get first choice. If after a couple days none of them declare, then I will make another post on this thread and let anyone declare. Whoever takes them would do well to coordinate their timing with me. I can lower the hiring and productivity of the corps to make taking the country a lot easier and less harmful.

3 countries: Brown has 20T, Brown 3 has 18T, and Brown 4 has 35T.

Considering the rules were just changed mid-war, it doesn't look like Erehwon, Cyriac or Hymyland will be needing countries anytime soon so I retract that. Anyone can have them.

Ugh. They change the rules, then change it back. I'm gonna have a stroke over here.

Matty, no matter what happens I don't want anyone's countries. Win, lose or draw, I don't intend on being more active than I have been. So if I win, I'll continue on as before (well, maybe I'll buy more weapons and ammo) unless I give it up as well, and if I lose I have no intention of attempting to repeat the effort that built my empire.

It would be a real shame to see you go Erehwon. Perhaps if the Peace-only country feature is enabled then you'll stick around?

Interestingly, dule (major ceo) wants to become a president and has requested one of the Brown countries. To my knowledge he hasn't chosen one yet though.

When I have more time, I am going to offer the full cooperation of my fleets in taking down large, inactive countries for other players. I'll do the grunt work, and other presidents can take the last shot.

Don't get me wrong, I would not be doing that for charity or because I think anyone else is incapable of doing it themselves. I'd be doing it for my own selfish interests. To speed along the building of a second superpower fortress besides the Monkeys so that we have someone to be afraid of. I don't want that boring in-between period between major wars to last too long. =]

To further encourage this, after this current war a peace declaration may be offered up by the monkeys to the entire world for a number of real life months. Discussion has only barely begun on it, but I'm just giving everyone a heads up. There are also other options on the table, but I think I've said too much already.

Oh, and Brown 4 is all I have left to giveaway. The others have been claimed.

Matty: Thanks for the offer, but if I lose the empire I have built up because I did not take appropriate military steps then I do not intend to start all over again. And I think the peace-only country idea isn't a great idea.

You don't have to build back an empire like the one you lost. That's a helluva daunting task for anyone, and an all-but impossible task for some. But at least say you'll stick around man.

Regardless of what you do, my offers still stand for (just about) anyone else.

If you end up leaving erehwon i will take it to mean that the only reason you were/are sticking around to begin with is inertia, and that you had essentially decided to 'give up' on the game long ago anyway. If you do, as I said, il be joinign you and we can start work on what weve been talking about for so long...if youre still interested.

If you actually want to play then I see no reason to leave :) Ive restarted a good 3 times now.

I am very interested in your thoughts concerinng the 'peaceful only' discussion. Im sure youve read mine, and know that this discussion was what I was trying to force, along with the removal of silly limits and workong out 'kinks.'
