You assume Doublestar that simply because someone's views are different than your's they are an atheist.
Oh I believe in GOD alright, what I don't need are religious Canons and your chest beating to tell me right from wrong.
I don't care what anyone believes, that's a personal decision everyone needs to make at somepoint.
You're pretty vain to come in here and try to tell me I'm wrong and you're right when you have absolutely no proof to support your beliefs.
The Bible is no more proof that god exists, or that it represents the word of god anymore than a comic book proves there really is a spiderman.
Get on with the game and leave us alone.

The need for religious types to convert atheists back to their religion is contary to their teachings which is to leave non-belivers alone. Its part of a power structure that serves society well by keeping the masses calm and under control. The desire to convert others is part of the human power structure that pervades all social interactions. Because if a religious higher type has no one to listen to then they have no power.
It all comes down to power which is probably contary to the teachings - if you really wanted to have a religious belief - stop teaching children about religion until they turn 18 so they have a chance to make their own conscious decisions instead of pushing youre belief on children just to propectuate the ongoing structural and control system - trust me eventually religion will be doen away with
Anyway such a medivevil system cannot work in the modern day - and in the game well nuking the populace its only a series of numbers - me thinks the religious bible bashers need to get out more.
And stop being so easily led by a corrupt and pedaphillic religious dogma - 75% of all christian priests have committed homosexual or pedaphillic behaviour i think says enough, its just a club for gay men to flourish in and sexually abuse children - and at the same time hide behind the idea of chastity and moral rightness ha

I started to not believe in God in elementary school simply because it was showed as "obvious" that God exists. Even back then I feared obvious things. I didnt want other people to force me to believe in something. Since then I dont believe simply because I never felt the Need to. Still I respect the people that believe in any form of God or spiritual influence. I think religion brought great values in our society that we should keep, unfortunatly I dont think these values have to be matched with God absolutly. I dont need to believe in God to want to help the people I love.
What I greatly dislike is people that come like doublestar and are so conviced of their beliefs that they are judging others and trying to impose their point of view. Welcome in the 21st century doublestar, this era is dead. You should read Missouri's post and try to act like him. Discussing of subjects like religion is very good to improve our spirituality but it has to be done in respect, or only bullshit will get out of it. You are currently exactly like the God you claim to believe in want you to NOT be. For the rest of your speech, I refer to my previous post, stop using physics when you dont know what you're talking about. It's people that acted like YOU that burned a lot of people because they wanted to develop Sciences. Are you another murderer, Doublestar?

I appreciate your attempt to "enlighten" (or is it save)? I will attempt to address a few of your issues objectively.
Despite the fact that entropy is the norm in the universe volcanos certainly do exist....as do quazars, neutron stars, planets, lifeforms, compounds, elements, gravity, quarks, etc. When natural and environmental justification for such complexety exists, and it can be proven through scientific investigation using the scientific method, pure faith must abstain. "Faith" is NOT an arguement, but rather is a belief.
Shame on you for using Einstein for mentioning God in some of his quotes. Belief in a god has nothing to do with the reality of the natural laws of nature. Einstin once said "God does not play dice" in reference to the laws of nature but he (Einstein) NEVER doubted the scientifically proven laws of nature; gravity, speed of light, magatism, etc. You use proven laws interchangably with biblical scriptures..... that's scientific herecy my friend and provides a poor arguement! Remember, I am not addressing your faith.
Okay, now to address some of your thoughts. Evolution being random? You bet! Please tell me about the God that invented or created all of those thousands of extinct fossils and put them into sedementary rocks that are 100, 200, 300 million years old? Although the record is incomplete it strongly suggests an evolutionary component that is fortified by experiemntation by Darwin before and after the Beagle voyages and then others. And please don't tell me that radioactive carbon dating is a tool of the devil (a belief of my mother-in-law). Was God just playing a joke on those poor extinguished creatures? Did he say "I'll create you early on and then cause your extinction in a couple of million years." "And then later, when people appear, I'll make them doubt the Adam & Eve theory by letting them discover the phoney fossil records."
The universe would definitely change if everything were just 1% different. If the average rainfall were 1% less the world would see approximately a 10% increase in desertification. That would be catastrophic to many organisms yet the Earth's temperature has fluxuated as much as 10% repeatedly over the last 100,000 years, etc. ice ages. 1% difference in speed for a cheetah would mean their certain extinction....as would a 1% increase in the running speed of a gazelle or zebra. A 1% change in the ratio between light and dark matter between galaxies may be the difference between a collapsing or forever expanding universe. The laws of nature explain this completely....not a biblical exerpt.
Water? A unique "mixture"? I rather doubt it. Liquid water runnoff caused the deep gullies and washes evident on Mars, as well as the frozen H20 at Mars' poles. Abundant water is present on Io, a moon of Jupiter. Water is the primary component necessary for life on Earth, but can be found on Mars and Io....basically 3 of the 9 planets in this solar system. I bank my money that of the 300,000 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, along with the 200,000 million of known galaxies in the Universe there are more planets that contain water, and thus life. Life, what are the odds? I think plenty. Perhaps some life does not require water at all??
Evolution of male and female....personally I'm grateful for this particular evolutionarly distinction. Many creatures, including fish and toads, will change their sex when there are too many of a certain kind of sex present. This characteristic ensures the continuation of the species. Most bacteria reproduce through a method called "mitosis" which is splitting or (cloning) into two identical organisms and requires only one parent. Some algae actually have 5 sexes. Personally, I want to party with those guys. A certain eel species near Japan is orange and male when hatched and turns blue and female when they reach a certain age. Male and female to me are good, but certainly not a requirement according to "Gods" creation plan.
Lastly, approximately 5-10 of God's creatures (species) becomes extinct every day....most because of the impact of man's infulence.....many because they were simply on the adaptive decline anyway. As George Carlin once said "Don't worry about mother nature....worry about humanity." He continues with "Mother Earth will survive all of humanities destructive tendencies.....it's our self-preservation we need to worry about." In other words, the Earth will adapt and evolve despite our insignificant intervention. Perhaps God understands.
I appreciate you're desire to make a difference, heriole lazaros, or whatever your real name is. This a game and a serious game at that. It is not the forum for religious thought or discussion. Personally, I don't like it that some choose to belittle you but I attribute it to their firey youth, and the fact that you threatend us all with Hell. Personally, I don't think that is your place to say my friend. Be well.

I am not going to waste my time defending God
So stop doing just that and shut up.

One aspect that got missed in all the good arguments.
He says that the complexity of the human body is evidence of god. In my opionion it's perfect evidence for the non exitence of god.
For example, what about?:
and a whole host of genetic illnesses caused by flaws in the genetics of the individual.
All this crap just screams creation by committee(evolution) not creation by a single intelligent being, damn I could do a better job. Either there is no god, or god is a completly imcompetant boob.
And regarding his other evidence, it may be true to a degree. It simply proves that humanity is here due to a huge combination of coincidences. Considering that size of the universe, that all of these things should coincide in one place is quite probable. And this occurence in no way proves god's existence.

God could easily have caused all these illnesses. Personally i beleive in reincarnation & you pay for your sins of passed lives. One lives in their own mini-hell...

"God could easily have caused all these illnesses"
why? Who would want to worship such ass?
