Kluwe, You can build in any C3 (Computer Controlled Country). Those are the Countries without a President (available for sign up). It takes about 4 game months to be "accepted" automatically (about a real day and a half). If they have available factories, it will then be built. If they don't, just give it time to "order" one, then it will be built.

To build in a C3, click on your "new Corporations" to be built link, chose your product, then click on the "build" link. Where the "select Country" block is, just below that you will see "You can search for a Country". Click that. You can check each "found" Country to see if it can support your new Corp you wish to build (employees). Keep searching until you find an optimum source, and then select to build in that Country. You can also check to see if it is a "C3" or a player controlled (President). Most Presidents, I have found, don't want CEO's in their Countries, so I only build in C3's. If it later gets taken over and is then under a player control, I ask that player if he/she would like my Corp to remain, if not, we have the option to move our Corps around to other Countries, as well as if your Corp develops a serious "worker shortage" in the Country it is in, you can move it to a better suited Country. Nice option.

You can also "bid" on existing Corps, but a word to the wise, only bid on abandoned (no log in for 3 real months or more) former CEO Corps or Corps in C3's.

The FAQ has lots of details.

Good luck with your game.

Yes, it doesn`t help to antagonise fellow CEOs by poaching their corps, there are only a handful of us compared with the number of presidents.

There are many many countries out there where the pressies are inactive(ish) with very profitable corps among them.

Check out the top 300 list of presidents and you will find them.
