Scorpion, Im pretty sure I asked for an invite :P Feel free to send when you have a moment.

It appears that eskon will be filling the final TM spot.

I also remain uncertain of the value of the effort, but with as little effort as im putting into SC anyway, it wont hurt to put in a tiny bit more :P

Update: MDL has been granted a seat. BTW: when you send the request for the invite please state which fed you are representing and please rename your country to include fed name or initials followed by rep. Glad this has picked up some speed.

I think that there are plenty of unbiased candidates for the chair. The question is, are they willing to do it?

I don’t believe that the chair would have to be part of a huge empire, or have incredible scores and high assets. Since this member would not be representing his federation, but will be representing a wild card so does speak. He could influence a voting round on an important subject with an unbiased opinion.

Maybe who ever are interested in this position could post here, or start another threat for a voting board. They could post and sate why they want the position and all the GC members could vote on it.

Just and idea and my simple opinion.

I believe the chair should be non-aligned, without any bias or preconcevied notions. I am please at the progress this world is making toward peace.

It is reported to me that some believe that I am either against the idea of the Golden Council or do not want to participate. I have already said that I think it is a good idea. I intend to take part soon, once I have made more rational my participation in the other feds where I am already a member.

I would also think that it be a very good idea to post Golden Coucil issues and events. Just so we all know what is going on. And also for those who are not participating.

I haven´t got the time to read all this stuff atm, nor was I active when all this was discussed, so take my oppinion with a grain of salt (That is the correct proverb, I think?):

I´m "pro-Council", but one would wonder about the impact it´s have on the game mechanics. Besides: Do some marketing for this whole affair. Make a webpage (I´m sure someone can donate some MB´s. Heck, *I* could probably spare 10 or so..)
to educate and inform ppl. Make up some rules about who is in, who´s not, why they are. Who CAN be invited etc. pp.

And get an unbiased chairman as well as two unbiased co-chairmen. Make reelection every 2 rl-months (or something like that) mandatory, so ppl get involved in this thing, or else you´ll pretty soon have some "chiefs" but no "indians" *g*
