When peaceful countries were introduced, we promissed to revisit the limitations on the size of attacks in the game.

This change was not implemented yet and discussions we have seen at the time showed mixed feelings on this issue.

Recently, we have changed the spending limits and allow accumulation of resources for military spending. This made it easier to build large armies.

We have considered the increase in max size of attacks or as an alternative, increase the frequency of attacks making it possible to launch more attacks with shorter periods between attack rounds.

We are looking for feedback from you on this issue.

I support the increase in size of attacks because it is impossible to conquer many, many empires right now no matter how greatly you outnumber them.

I also support increasing the frequency of attacks. I see no reason for the frustrating pace that war is set at right now.

But first, please fix the war bugs which can make countries invincible:

1) Thousands of Fortifcations

2) Constantly built corporations to take advantage of the unhittable ones

3) War declaration limit

Also, the bug which withdraws defensive batteries mid-war is still around.

I've heard rumors of a bug which renders Interceptors and DH useless. Hopefully someone will come around to the thread who has more information on this.

There are still bugs out there at the moment which do need to be resolved -

I feel that the size of attacks needs to be increased slightly but not to the stage where it is unlimited as this would not be realistic.

If someone wants to build 1000 forts then let them as there are still ways around that.

The time between each wave is still ok by me and i see no reason to increase it.

The spending limits are great and much help in building armies fast.

If the frequency of attacks is increased, it will still be possible to beat someone by simply grinding them down with numbers.

atleast raise the number of attacks to 100k at a time that should be easy to defend against. If people know what the limit is even if it is large they can still plan a defence and there will be no surprises of an outrageous number of attacking units. Increased attacks would cut the time require to defend and fight a war.

Fortifications:
We want to prevent another limitation. We can increase the cost and number of soldiers needed in a fortification. That will cause countries to make choices.

War declarations? We should prevent countries in the federation AND other countries they own from declaring war on one of their members.

This is used to block war declaration slots.

A bug that makes Interceptors and DH useless?
I know the code.
There is no special case for these two.

We need an example of a fight that went wrong.

We can see the log of each attack, blow by blow, and the effect of each single weapon used, all 10.000 separately. These logs are many Mb a peace and are removed by the system after several game months. We have the last 5 or 6.

so come up with an error and we will look into it and fix it. I am sure there are some but we could not find any for a long time.

The bugs do need fixing they can cost a person too much.
The declaration limit can be exploited and anything that can be exploited should be fixed.

The worst bug is the redeploying units this is how i know they have effected players.
1. Shiva lost his country because the def batts kept deploying leaving his main structures with a weak defence

2. i lost about 30 corps because my def redeployed leaving the corps with about 90 mibs, not enough to stop 100 nuke subs. I did have about 200mibs protecting my corps.

3. the recent war with erehwon was ruined because of the bug. We were making some progress attacking an undefended structure, erehwon logged in and deployed batts to defend but they kept redeploying. I believe erehwon made the wrong move and i could have still got through all his deployed batts but the batts didnt stay deployed so it was unfair to continue. So again all my time preparing for war was wasted.

You should be able to leave your countries knowing that they will do the job you set them to do.

I know that this is a problem.
We have done this because people would not deploy the defense to have another of their countries win the war easily.

I suggest an alternative.

We will check the deployment and if it covers the army bases, the capital and factories and most of the weapons are deployed.

If that is the case, we will not redeploy automatically.

If the defense weapons are not deployed (leaving large numbers in the defense bases) or deployment leaves the obvious targets unprotected, we will automatically redeploy.
