Meh, I guess I can put some more interesting WG history in here.
I started with a 4m pop on the Eridana Continent, and it is still my main at 30m today. I joined the UN Eridana Protectorate with Kodiak, Erehwon, YUAN, and others. It was one of the top three most powerful feds on WG both militarily and GDP-wise. Eventually Kodiak gave me the chairmanship since he didn't want to spend as much time in the game anymore. When the resets started most of the fed was inactive, so I left the fed and started taking the inactives. Somewhere about that time Erehwon accused me of lying on the boards, which is why I attacked him. He since claims he's apologized, but I think that's up to debate. ;-)
That's about it.

My name is Rob and playing from down under in Australia while all you people are asleep . Many years ago in the late 80's early 90's, before there was an Internet, I used to play a bulletin board (BB) (remember them?) game called Baron Realms Elite (BRE) which was a DOS game and was a much less complex version of SimCountry.
Each BB that participated around the world was a planet and each planet had 25 countries. Each night the BBs would synchronise and battles would take a few days to get your results back from the attacking fleets. The game always fascinated me but life got in the road and have not played it for 10+ years.
About a year ago I tried hunting down if the BRE wars were still going but could only find the software but in my searches but I did come across SimCountry. I was wrapped to find it as it is all that I wanted and remember from the BRE days but 100's times better. I started a country on KB to test and after a few months in early 2003 I took the plunge and bought some credits on GR.
Erehwon was my first real tutor and helped me heaps at the beginning with information and worker trades to build up my education and health and invited me into the AF Fed after I took 4 C3 countries in a couple weeks. More recently Ellie has been a great help with information for me and we combined our 2 private feds into the "mutual defence league" to protect our local area from the ever increasing wars on GR.
I have put most my energies into the common market and now supply nearly all of the country and company's requirements of my 2 main countries from my personal common market, no easy task and has taken nearly 550 companies to do it. I intend, if possible, to try have all my empire 100% self sufficient over time.
Any others remember BRE?

I started in KB with about 6 1/2 months ago with a dirt-poor, 4M pop country. Since I figured the only thing it had going for it was nature and philosophical spirit, I not-so-ironically named it "Emersonia." Although the Simcountry Life Span of most people who start this way is about 2 weeks, for some reason I hung on. I reached the #1 GDP on Kebir about 4 1/2 months after starting and the #1 military size about 1 month ago (Quickly, Murphy's Law stated that I had to go to GR, where my rank is currently much lower).
I've fought several wars against active players, most notably against the Syth. I think I'm the only non-Sythian to profit from the Kebir Syth wars, gaining one country, and the only one outside of Matt P. to survive it.
In RL, I'm Brad and I do research at a university lab in northern Louisiana.

Hi all, a friendly greeting from Andy in Hampshire UK
I`ve only been on simcountry a few months, not as long as some of you.
Tried as president in KB but got wiped out by the Centura Donna Alliance (as most did) so I`ve been CEO over there for quite a while now.
Came over to GR a few weeks ago and still trying to get my head around some of the differences.
If I upset someone in the future by buying one of their corps, its nothing personal, its just the megalomaniac in me, so I`ll apologise now

greetings from down under (australia for the un-informed) the names Ryan (however i often go by Hero, don't ask) i have no idea how long i have been playing i didn't exactly keep count, but if i had to guess i would prbably say anywhere close to a year. i have been under ths same country name since i started (unitedfools) and created a reasonablely sized empire. i built afederation when i started which changed name around 3 times and under its last name became quite succesful in FB (ranked number one in TNN before 12 monkeys started) by the name of Probo Syndicate with the help of Axis and eskon. i have never really been a big player and the only time i have come close to lossing my country was a scuffle with doublestar who had declared on a few of my fedmates. i have come here to preserve my country which i have invested alot of time building (yes yes i know its not much but i am proud of it never the less).

I started playing this game long time ago, lets see hymy was there, dark maji, monopoland was there and that one ceo with 100T+ in assesta in sim01 was there i think i started in September 2001, long time ago. But i played in all worlds. Had my favorite country in KB alex1 it was real uniqe. I set it up so i got profit from education and hospital and my expenses were astronomicly low like 7b for a month and country had like 11t in cash which i loaned out. yep that was my favorite country.

I started playing August 2001 on Kebir. It seems like ages ago. Wow, Hymy that makes us senior citzens on Simcountry. A co-worker of mine showed me the game his Enterprise name was @Nova. I was just a CEO by the name of Chymera. I became Scorpion the president a month later. I became bored with Kebir and de-regged all but one of my 50 countries and came to GR. Dark Majic,Groland, and Hymy kept KB interesting for me when I was there. GR has been interesting to say the least. BTW, Matty I am ex korean cryptologic linguist for the U.S. Air Force also. Left NSA and the Air Force in 1982. (Kevin).
