Some of you might have noticed I haven't logged in for a long time. this is because I have lost interest in this game, I'll go into details later in this post.
I want to thank some peeps right now.
Eskon: Thank you for being active and a voice of destruction in the world. your one of the few peeps I really enjoyed talking to. your a great warrior and a good friend. its been fun.
Thundercats: you guys are good. we went from the bottom of the ranking pool to the top of the ladder. it couldn't have happened without all of you, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Avalon, Abyss, and all your other names: your an inspiration to all the warrior players and a master of war. I couldn't have gotten to were I'm at without your presents in the world and your advice (the bible and other shit).
12 Monkeyes: well what can I say to all of you? I had hoped that this idea would keep me interested in the game, but allas, it could not. I'll be sending my account info to the fed so that one of you could put my empire to work of the cause. thank you.
to everyone else: thanks for playing and making the game less of a bore. to bad the game developers couldn't understand what it takes to make an interactive game interactive.
ok, thats all the thanks and stuff. now I'll get into why I'm leaving.
like I said b4, the game has lost that loving feeling...you know, the feeling you get when you play the game. this feeling has faded do to several reasons:
1: the game lacks interaction. in all my months/years of playing I have never felt like I was playing with other ppl. it's more like I'm playing against the computer and the other players are just ppl to talk to while playing against the comp. that's not interaction, that's just talk.
if the game masters would just loosen the restrictions on player and federation trading, and spending limits the game would blossom into a very competitive trading environment.
there should not be any such thing as a war range. weapons should have ranges, that I agree with, but not to the point were you can't fight anyone. an army is too difficult to build for me to march all over the world trying to get in war range of some bloke that has done nothing but build defence for the 10 game years it took me to get in range of him.
3: W3 needs to abandon this "realistic game" concept they have been clinging onto since the game's introduction. there are any number of computer games I can buy that have tons better realism in war and economy gamming that also offer player interaction.
W3's vision of a realistic game is not very realistic unless they were aimimg for a WW2 kind of world. in todays world fighter plans and bombers have unlimited range with inflight refueling, Nukes can strick anywere in the world, weapons of war like tanks use FUEL...and lots of it. these very real aspects of war cannot be found in SC.
4: the teaching mode of the game is almost impossible without repeating your self a billion times. sure you could just post your strategy on the BB but then everyone can read it and use your tactitcs against you and your fed. the ingame messege system cannot, and will never, be enough to keep fed members "active" and aware of what's happening. using off-sight messege boards only work if all the members go to that sight. sorry to say that very few players acually put that kind of effort into the game. chat systems are a waist of time IMO. far too often have I sat in a chatroom waiting for someone to actually say anything, and when they do it has very little to do with SC.
In-game messege boards are severly needed to inspire game community growth and interaction. I can give one example of an online game that has this consept in play, www.playteq.com uses ingame messege boards on thier team server and I have to say that the learing curve in that game far exceeds SC. in just one game cycle (one month) a newb player can learn and practic everything he needs to know to become a pro and the leaders and teachers only have to ANSWER questions. this saves them all the time of repeating themselves to every new player, everything is posted on the messege board once for all members to read.
5: sight layout and instructions are incomplete and confusing. there is just too much clutter, nuff said?
6: W3 does the best they can, but unfortunatly it isn't enough. I can't blame them for all the wrongs in the game cuz I know they are under budgeted and over worked. but they need to do something to the game to make it better. number one thing they can do is stop fucking with the econ system, it's good enough the way it is.
I probly missed a few things in my anti-game rant, but you get the idea.
oh, one last thing: the difficulty to build a competitive army in this world is more time consuming than difficult. this make (atleast me) less willing to go to war, the prep time for war takes months atleast. ways of making a smaller force more competitive needs to be researched and implimented. weapon quality is one way that has been said, training is another, and combat readiness is yet another.
ok, so I'm done playing and talking about SC. if your wondering what I might be doing in the future well I'm practicing my guitar alot more. playing other, more rewarding games, is somehting else that I'm doing. and watching TV is one of the last things that will be taking my time.
I don't think I'll be missing the game very much, but I could come back in the future...maybe.
try to have fun and take care.
Wartime, Cube, Wraith King, and Wraithland sighning off.

Thats it I've had enough of this shit!
if W3C wants to drive players out of this game then I have the solution.
I am officially declaring on every active player that i can reach befor I get reset.
These stupid "improvements" will not stop me or deter me.
If you are in my area i am giving you notice that I am comming and will not stop till i reset.
This game is dying...I am here to finnish it off.
The staff of this game has turned this game into a farce and I will not stand for it anymore.
I came to this game to fight wars and that is what I will do...Fuck them!

Humm, I would join in this bashing of SC, if i cared a sinch about this game. The game has also drove my last nerve. I dont know about you guys, but i sure as hell dont play for the economy aspect of the game. I play to wage war, that's all, what else is there? clicking upgrades, raising salaries? There are so many things that SC staff is doing, to prevent players from building an army. Its BS, BS I TELLE YOU.
I think alot of us will miss the players leaving. The game wont be the same if everyone up and leaves. (i think that is what SC wants. mayb they have a hidden agenda.) What ever, im done. If nothing by the time my GC expires, the I'll just F***G quit.
PS: you'll be missed CUBE.

i agree with Imp. col., this is after all a war world, and if i wanted to play for the economy side of things, then i'ld be in KB or WG!I too am gonna go to GR, not with this country, but my gift;) and if improvements aren't made then i too will be leavin (not that anyone cares of course!)I think W3 should seriously consider things like weapons upgrades and war ranges for individual weapons

evryone who quits due to lack of war shoudl note why, both on the BB and in an email to w3c (i know it might be hard to muster the willpower to do it...)
The only way the limits will ever be removed is if enougb people press for it. Otherwise, w3c will think everyone likes a pure 'economy' game.
Those of yuou who are near the edge....be sure to move at least one (strong!) country to GR and delcare a war
EVERYONE needs to see and understand THOROUGHLY why and how war is impossible.
Cheers, WC; wehave already exchanged mutual contact info, so maybe well speak again
