Are *really* irritating. As soon as they think there's a problem, they're off demanding 20B E$!

I've seen situations where a corp has dipped briefly into the red, usually because one of those irritating huge buy-enough-raw-materials-for-a-year requests has come through. More on that elsewhere.

But the upshot is that you can have a corp which is making $3B a month, has dropped to -$0.04B, and which tries to take out a loan for $20B.

Which means suddenly you're saddled with absurd interest payments and wind up having, a month or two later, to waste $1B in early-payback penalties to get out from under a loan you didn't need or want in the first place.

$20B may be a sensible starting point for a country's loans, but not for a corp's.

Why not compute corp requests in units of $5B? Have the request be for $5n billion, where n is the smallest integer necessary to cover the current debt.

Even better might be 3+x billion, where x is the current debt rounded up.

E.g. if the debt is $0.12 B, then the requested loan is $4B; if the debt is $6.94B then the requested loan is $10B, etc.
