W3C has begun the process of limiting many of the computer controlled countries from participating in the game.

I suggest that this process be continued to its logical conclusion - a number of ways to do this are listed below:

1) Reduce the population in any C3 to a low number until/if it is registered.
2) Close all corporations in C3s, cancel all trades by the population, and make them all peaceful until/if it is registered (this has already been done in part)
3) Set the population to zero, or completely remove the country from the game until it is registerd. When or if this occurs, set the population, health care, education, etc to default start-up values.

This suggestion is one of the single-most effective ways to chnage the SC economy I cna think of.

Trades will be between real people, rather than dominated by the AI, and therefore realistic. The market will behave in a much more responsive and interesting manner. Controlling traed will be vastly more important. The game will run much MUCH faster (less population = less trade requests, fewer corporations, less demanding computation of changes and growth, and pretty much less CPU and DB use across the board. The planets might actually return to somewhat believable populations. And last but not least, new players would all start on more or less equal ground (with countries possesing default starter values), as opposed to the current lottery in which some players register a goldmine and others a disintegrating wreck.

Im quite proud of my succinctness! :)
