No the point about quoting a company on stock exchange is different.

You can still have a Limited Liability Company that is not quoted on a stock exchange. (In the UK for example we differentiate by the suffix after the company name. So "John Jones Services Ltd" would not be quoted on the stock exchange, but "John Jones Services Plc" could be. But both corporations would protect it's members/shareholders/stockholders from Liability. A single member company is now allowed in England and Wales, (granted only recently) and I suspect we were probably behind most American States on this, so lets not couple LLCs with stockholding.

LLCs are essential if we are to make the game more realistic where people will take more risks! I think the differentiation between quoted and unquoted corporations between the Free and Paid for worlds is fair enough, but that's different to Limited Liability.

The attraction really from a game point of view would be to make it easier for new players to join and not get disheartened by having a huge debt in their parent Enterprise.
