God is supposed to be THE cause not A consequence so there cannot be any direct experimental proof for its existence. The existence of god is just a theory and as any theory it can be judged relevant and adequate by its ability to explain and predict - explain what we already know about reality and predict what we still don't know, but can experimentally find out. Multiple theories can explain what we know, but little can predict the unknown. When well constructed a theory of god's existence can pretty well explain what we already know, but unfortunately there is no single case where any god-related theory made predictions which were later experimentally proved right. No innovation in mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, economics and technology was ever achieved through the direct use of of the hypothesis that god exists. On the other hand we already have other theories about the world which are not only good at explaining, but already made numerous accurate predictions which were later experimentally proved right. The human race built its entire science and technology exclusively on theories that are atheistic.
In short our knowledge of the world was built and was and is ever enriched without using the theory of god's existence, which doesn't organically belong to it and is in this respect alien and irrelevant to our experimentally built immage of the world.
