As far as websites ... do a search but I wouldn't do more than use them as a indicator to more reliable information.

Example:

There are many websites dedicated to the loss of the U.S.S. Scorpion. Unless they've updated since I last viewed them, only one even correctly suggests what happened.

But .. then again even the court of inquiry never mentions the cause either, only recommendations.

It's one of those situations where everyone familar with submarines knows the cause, all the evidence including the debris field points to it, even all the simulations ever performed reproduce it but nobody wants to officially admit it.

Even the recommendations in the inquiry touch, but at the same time obsure it.

By reading the inquiry while it specifically denies loss by hostile action, the recommendations point to loss by hostile action which is simply not the case.

The loss of the Scorpion was due to a defective MK45 torpedo, more specifically a 50 cent piece of foil inside the battery of that torpedo.

The only nail left to drive in that coffin is for the Navy to provide the serial numbers of the torpedoes she carried which is information claimed not to exist. Unless it's been shredded it does.
