It is not a benefit to them that we play this game, it is our privilege to be allowed to play.

bullshit, we are paying customers. we are clients. we are the ones that make this game a success or a failure if we continue to play, or stop playing. w3c must satisfy our needs in this game as all gamming companies must satisfy thier buyers or the product doesn't sell.

as long as w3c is going to make weapons of war so expencive and difficult to obtain, players will try to find a way to profit (somehow) with it. if a player has a strong army and all the countries he wants, what further incentive does he have to go to war? I truely believe that if w3c continues its course of action with the weapons, war will ONLY BE FOR THE UBER RICH. couple that with attack limits and you have a player that holds all the chips and is completely immune to attack.

so if you want to blame BK and others for extorting other players, then I would have to argue that w3c made this problem themselves by placing all the power in the hands of the warmongering elite.

if attack limits were removed, then strong players will begin to target other strong players. for a time, the strong will consume each other and the power will begin to stablize and uber countries and empires will be spent and destroyed. army sizes will go up and down as players must fight to survive or be killed off by thier rivals. the great nations will be equalized and the uber strong will be targeted and picked apart. the pressure will be off the weaklings to satisfy the warmongering needs of the strong.

blah, I don't know why I bother writing this. w3c doesn't seem to understand that players with armies want to fight players with armies. weak players may be "profitable" to attack, but smart players know that it's a limited deal. since the cost of rebuilding lost weapons exceeds most "profits" from these actions (cost of weapons and ammo, rebels, rebuilding the bombed wreck, even civil unrest). extortion is just an easier and cheaper way to obtain the profit warmongers are looking for.
