Cajeme, w3c has never really moved to maximize revenue, and thenve been losing thousands of dollars a month for real years. I dont think most of the players of the game appreciate either the scale of their investment or their devotion to creating a good sim. Be careful before ascribing greed to their decisions.

That said, I agree about the problem being linked to real money/GCs.

I think GCs should not be convertible to real money, and that all cash awards should be abolished forever. I think they have always caused much more trouble than they are worth (some people even view PLAYING this game as an INVESTMENT), and some really bizarre events have happened because of this linkage to real cash - generally harmful to the game and the game community imho. (again, I expect I am in the minority here)

(as a side note, I doubt there are many people with more GC than I have at the moment, However all of my GC, earned ingame and bought with real money (yes, really) are meant to be given away to other players. I promise that I have a reasonable awareness of how GC can be accumulated and used, and I am firmly convinced that the system is both highly out of whack and not beneficial to w3c)

as for revenue, for pretty much anyone who wants to play and has some patience, the game is permanently free. If they want to get a bit more revenue, then they need to change how GCs are awarded and can be spent. This is clear to all the major players id imagine, but of course the 'major' players are the ones least interested in paying...right?

bllody moochers.

Jozi, everyone wants a friendly community. Conflict, however, is par of the nature of any healthy game. Perhaps if the link to real cash were removed, it would seem less like extortion to those complaining - those people taking the most advantage of w3c
