maybe I should clarify my position on subs. I thought I made it clear but appearently I didn't dumb it down enough...
Sub nukes work very well, if the enemy doesn't have massive MIB concentrations.
many MIB, sub bad.
they would be useful if the cost wasn't so massively high for the ammo.
getting many nukes take many moons.
though using them in a first strike senerio would have little effect if your intention was to take over the country.
if useing all sub to take country, dumb. too many targets use too many nukes.
sub missiles are just too costly and easily defended for them to be of any real use in SC.
sub take many moons to gather, MIB too strong against.
but if your intention is just to damage the country, then subs would be more useful.
if targets weakly defended, sub work well.
this is only due to the fact that the weapon platform doesn't get destroyed in the attack.

MIBs are the only weapon in the defencive inventory that defend against the sub attack.
me repeat, MIB only sheild from sub.
many players have slaves with multipal bases. you may find yourself at war with one of these players. you may also find that this player has over 80k INTs defending his 100k DH. some of these weapons might be stationed in slaves with extra bases. subs can destroy these bases and reduce the INT count enough for the NF to attack the INTs and eliminate the air force. what kind of price do you put on that? a high one of your w3c.
