Its been done. Generally it works.
To add an update, the multis in question , Big brother, are not merely suspected. they are known and admitted.
3 other members of the federation they are in apparently log in from the same computer, but I have taken no actio regarding them and do not plan to. They may not be truthful but I am always willing to give people the benefit of a doubt, stupid as it might make me (doing this has gotten me into trouble before....).
Lord mndz, I dont care if you want to fight the knights for real months at a time. In fact, id probably like, and they probably would too.
But rationalizing multies removes any respect and sympathy I might have extended to you. Poof, gone.
Your federation is not exactly behaving in a clear manner either. Your chairman has been very honest and upright about the whole thing. I comend him. But other members, yourself included, are sending mixed messages and indeed declaring war on me :P
If I dont hear from anyone who declares on me before war starts, I will wait a little while (a few game months), and then treat you as I will treat the multies.
(another country was just registered apparently and declared on me as well)
I realize that communication takes a bit of time and I will be sure to keep in regualr contact with your chairman, to make sure everything is understood. But after that time lapses, I will move swiftly.
Generally speaking the larger players and federations so such things on their own.
The 12 monkeys federation used to take such actions on Fearless, and also made a point of hunting 2 notable cheaters on golden rainbow when they (we) migrated...cheaters who, i might add, were universally condemened by the players on GR, and then supported by some of those same players after they were declared upon :P...no one else had the balls to take them on, alas.
Long before the 12M, many other federations did the same thing. I even remember the imperial council on fearless, which not only was supposed to work vs cheaters, but also meant to enforce fair wars (stopping giant empires from crushing new players. There was no newbie protection period in thsoe days. Nor war limits. Nor attack limits. Not transfer limits.)
All of the attmepts have had mixed degrees of success.
If anybody reading this has PROOF or strong evidence - not just hearsay - that anyone is cheating, they can send it to me. I will pretty much always take action, even if it takes me awhile because I am busy in this thing we call the "real world."
This offer will remain open indefinetely.
Other than doing that, and training and teaching and sheltering new, weak, and recently conquered players, I have no ambitions on fearless.
Generally speaking the veteran players all agree on this issue, and will even drop conflcits amongst themselves to right things.
at least, thats how its worked on fearless for 2 years or so (since kenneth left). The other worlds dont have such a , um, clear record :P.
To said multies:
If you are willing to do the right thing and restart legally, I am willing to help you become vastly better at the game and much more powerful than you ever could merely by registering one (or a dozen) countries. I dont expect you to take me up on the offer, but I thought it worthehile to make it.
