The first rule of sociable living is this:
"Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity or ignorance."
The second rule is:
"Don't forget to add lack of time or miscommunication to the first rule."
Now, in the full spectrum of diplomatic relations
there is a place for shouting at other players and accusing them of evil motives, evil deeds, perfidious dirty tricks, etc. There is even a place for threatening them with war.
But in all justice it should not be the first choice!
Public forums have their place - but initial diplomatic discussions are best discussed in private.
If anyone has concerns about the actions of an Allied Forces member, please contact both them and me via the messaging system rather than via the forum. I peruse the forums when I have spare time - and that's been in short supply lately. Contact me at "Lament of Lorien".
Now, HoG has provided an explanation for his actions. It sounds reasonable to me. He's made a pledge not to take control of the two countries involved - feel free to hold him to it. I will.
Some empires have so many countries it's hard to find a decent C3 that isn't in range of one of them. It's an old saying that inexperienced generals are like virgins - nervous about the flanks. ;)
Matt, if you will contact me from the country you prefer to receive messages at, I would be pleased to work with you to allay your concerns. Allied Forces does not - repeat - does not - want a war with you. Period.
