I'm not talking about skipping the award, I'm talking about removing yourself from the scoring table all together. Ever notice at the very bottom of the 300 List is the game gods countries? They are ranked last, with no points. That is the option I propose players get, but were they can still fight wars. You NEVER win ANY awards whatsoever but are free to build the country you want without it being crippled by asset penalties.

There are quite a few countries that would opt for this, mainly pay to play countries. There seems to be a big discrepency between the mind set of pay to plays and those whom dont. Pay to play people want awards (if any) given out less frequently for example. Another would be that many pay to play people think there should be NO awards whatsoever (common misconception is people pay to win awards, most pay simply to keep and build their country and avoid awards like the plague). Another common theme is that scoring should be completely removed asides from ranking, and that to only be a measuring stick for countries.

My suggestion would make just about everyone happy. Pay to plays dont have to go threw the pains of award dodging, point junkies have a better chance to win awards/GCs, and W3 would be the same but would be giving awards to a much more diverse group of players as the same group tends to crowd the top 30 or so on each world.
