Well put Dave. I sure agree. One of the last vestiges of the effort to reduce mob rule is the Electoral College and you can see that it is under assualt. It does not do a particularly good job of it is the only reason I can see that it is still around even in its seriously weakend form. It is already bad enough how, despite all efforts to the contrary when the Constitution was envisioned, big states dominate the political process. Even with the ineffective Electoral College, at least now candidates pay some lip services to smaller states. Once it is gone, will any candidate even bother campaigning outside of California, Texas, Florida, and New York?
