I am aware that "Refuting all arguments against a position doesn't make it true" but the first definition you posted also seems to go along with my point quite nicely. Free of emotional judgement inevitably means facts, as the two ways that we as human beings judge things are either emotionally, or logically.

The ends do not justify the means--and anything short of total free-market capitalism (that is, a system in which each individual is left free to do as he pleases so long as he honors his voluntary mutual contracts and does not initiate physical force or fraud against the person or property of another without his consent) is an illegitimate and absolutely despicable means, regardless of its end result.

Society is human. Human means that people will always try to cheat the system. Thus, such a system described as above is completely impossible, unless enforced . Enforcement would then of course make it not a free society and as such it would be worse than anything currently running. Especially the welfare state .
I still dont know what kurt seems to have against the welfare state. The fact is, its the best system out there for both the people and for business, as shown by generally increasing world prosperity and welfare.
