from w3c concerning the removal of attack limits:

Limitless war was tried in the game before. Attack limits did not come from nowhere. We had unlimited wars and they destroyed many players who were trying to develop a decent country. We have Fearless blue as a war world and even there unlimited war will be unfair to many.

There are however ways to achieve this. We can make defense stronger cheaper and more destructive and on Fearless blue increase limits to virtually unlimited. Wars will come at a cost and the winning countries will have to rebuild their armies and it will not be easy. There is no reason to let a large army just walk over another country. If you want a big war, you should be prepared to get one. These wars will not come cheap.

/end transmition.

now the bullshit line if this one: There is no reason to let a large army just walk over another country bullshit I say. attack limits do nothing but protect the larger countries because nobody can attack them. what this does is force warmongers to attack only the ppl that the attack limits allow them to attack. namely the weak countries and federations that do not have the massive amounts of defence that the larger countries have.

with increased weapon cost, the uber rich are now the only ones that can field any sort of military strength. this means that the uber rich with massive populations will be the ones attacking everyone else without fear of counter attack.

the higher weapon prices serve only the rich and ruin the game for the new players. I can see no reason why a new player would ever pay to play this game, seriously.

the other downfall of the new changes is the pace of the game just slowed to a snails pace. it would take months for a decent sized empire to gather all the weapons needed to fight a war. at that point the risk of lossing that uber expencive asset outweights the "profit" from a war torn fucked up country. why in the hell would any sane person go to war now?

now I respect your ideas and desitions w3c, but I think you've made a grave error in this change.
