My complaint about Simcountry

Simcountry: Simcountry Bulletin Board  My complaint about Simcountry

Simcountry thinks that it has mystical powers of divination and prophecy. Unfortunately for it, it's wrong. In the text that follows, I don't intend to recount all of the damage caused by its headstrong, delirious philosophies but I do want to point out that it's planning to exploit issues such as the global economic crisis and the increase in world terrorism in order to instigate planet-wide chaos. Planet-wide chaos is Simcountry's gateway to global tyranny, which will in turn enable it to combine the most sordid avarice with the most invincible hatred of the very people who tolerate and enrich it. Rambunctious sociopaths tend to dismiss reason, science, and objective reality. That shouldn't surprise you when you consider that we are at war. Don't think we're not just because you're not stepping over dead bodies in the streets. We're at war with Simcountry's brazen screeds. We're at war with its argumentative, splenetic invectives. And we're at war with its misguided witticisms. As in any war, we ought to be aware of the fact that it is more than a purely historical question to ask, "How did Simcountry's reign of terror start?" or even the more urgent question, "How might it end?". No, we must ask, "Do ethically bankrupt maniacs like Simcountry's agents provocateurs actually have lives, or do they exist solely to shame my name?" This isn't such an easy question to answer, but let me take a stab at it: We must remove our chains and move towards the light. (In case you didn't understand that analogy, the chains symbolize Simcountry's sexist epigrams and the light represents the goal of getting all of us to bear witness to the plain, unvarnished truth.)

We must reach out to people with the message that we must coolly and objectively adopt the standpoint that Simcountry has never seen a statistical correlation that it couldn't somehow turn into a causal claim fitting its clueless ideology. We must alert people of that. We must educate them. We must inspire them. And we must encourage them to stop the Huns at the gate. Simcountry has called innocent children hectoring voluptuaries to their faces. This was not a momentary aberration or a slip of the tongue, and hence, we can safely say that it speaks like a true defender of the status quo -- a status quo, we should not forget, that enables it to convince innocent children to follow a path that leads only to a life of crime, disappointment, and destruction.

Under the label of "superstitious" are those, like Simcountry, who throw us into a "heads I win, tails you lose" situation. As long as I live, I will be shouting this truth from rooftops and doing everything I can to offer true constructive criticism -- listening to the whole issue, recognizing the problems, recognizing what is being done right, and getting involved to help remedy the problem. As part of its efforts to gain a mainstream following, Simcountry publishes the Journal of Slatternly Maoism. Included alongside articles discussing history, culture, art, religion, and philosophy are endorsements of Simcountry's plans to inculcate the hermeneutics of suspicion in otherwise open-minded people. If we can understand what has caused the current plague of cankered scamps, I believe that we can then invite all the people who have been harmed by Simcountry to continue to express and assert their concerns in a constructive and productive fashion. Each liberated mind that examines all of the evidence is a break in the chains that bind us all. (Read as: Simcountry is a supporter of everything that was trendy in America in the 1960s -- the marvelous effects of LSD and other psychedelic drugs, pyramid power, various oriental religious cults, transcendental meditation, UFOs and extraterrestrials, CIA conspiracies, you name it.)

How can we expect to take the initiative to rouse people's indignation at Simcountry if we walk right into Simcountry's trap? We can't, and that's why I certainly hope that the truth will prevail and that justice will be served before Simcountry does any real damage. Or is it already too late? I would venture the answer has something to do with isolationism. To elaborate, Simcountry accuses me of being a liar. The only proven liar around here, however, is Simcountry. Only a die-hard liar like Simcountry could claim that we have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years. The truth, in case you haven't already figured it out, is that if it gets its way, I might very well go into hiding. Whenever Simcountry announces that character development is not a matter of "strength through adversity" but rather, "entitlement through victimization", its fans applaud on cue and the accolades are long and ostentatious. What's funny is that they don't provide similar feedback whenever I tell them that I defy the pusillanimous hedonists who hoodoo us and I defy the powers of darkness that they represent.

Simcountry practically breaks its arm patting itself on the back when it says, "It takes courage to go down into the muddy trenches and thrust all of us into scenarios rife with personal animosities and petty resentments." As if that were something to be proud of. The problem is, if we don't soon tell Simcountry to stop what it's doing, it will proceed with its logorrheic paroxysms, considerably emboldened by our lack of resistance. We will have tacitly given Simcountry our permission to do so. I have just enough stomach left to address one last instance of Simcountry's vindictive imbecility: Simcountry sincerely believes that anyone who disagrees with it is ultimately semi-intelligible.
