As I tried to say earlier Berg would have been better off forgetting the first half of his petition and focused on the second half. Keith in answer to your question the problem is in the actions of his mother in 1967 when she went to Indonesia and married there. The 14 year requirement is not material to this part of the issue. It is a technical point of law, but one that Obama himself would have been more than familar with. As noted earlier Obama has alluded to having his actual orginal birth certificate yet wont produce that - even a copy unnoterized would put a whole lot of this to bed, but would still leave the second part. This is why the judge hasnt thrown this out but has not signed the TRO also. If Berg in interviews is correct though and the republicans have hard evidence (One of my own sources says they have the Kenya Birth certificate and the doctor who delivered him. although my question is what damn doctor in Kenya would remember this one single birth a half century later) plus they have more documentation from Indonesia. If so this is not going to go away unless McCain jumps so far ahead in the polls that victory is certain. Personally I could care less which of these rich white boys gets elected or if the rich white girl replaces one of them - we are screwed in any case.
