well, I often claim to have learned more on my own than I was taught in school. I have often poured through history, philosophy, horticulture and biology books. the lust for knowledge has rulled me for quite some time. The more obscure the reference, the more I must know.
For instance- the Russo-Polish war of 1924. is argued that it possibly could have started WWII decades earlier (I don't count Italy's invasion of Ethiopia as the start). Something my history teachers were completely oblivious of ever happening.
