For those who read just the first line, Ambiorix is leaving the game.
For the few who are interested in some background blabbing... keep reading

The therapy ends.
THIS therapy ends.

Some time ago I read a topic on the forum concerning a witch hunt against a certain n00b. In the same topic the n00b replied to the accusations. I don't remember the exact words, but he said something like: "I play this game to escape the everyday sh*t that keeps occurring in my life."
These words really touched me deeply. In the middle of the huge pile of BS - the forum that is - there it was: the very reason why many play this game. Something to be ashamed of? Absolutely not. Some smoke, others eat too much or flood themselves with things to do.
Two years ago I was playing Utopia, a free online game. I followed an ad that said "If Utopia isn't enough for you, Simcountry will take you further". This game indeed took me further. The illusion of power and the challenging game were all what I was asking for at that time.
I spent a lot of time on this game and I really enjoyed it. Both the community AND the game back then were fun. I fought a lot of wars, I designed a lot of economies and I met a lot of people. Roughly a year and a half ago I probably was at the summit of my game career.
Then the game masters slowly started to strangle the game - my complaints concerning that have been written down and already forgotten most prollly -. Some of my good friends left, some fortunately kept playing. My time is limited though - as is everyone's - so the therapy ends here.

And then the most difficult part...
I'd like to say 'thank you' to:

Simon Dabney
For his continuous presence

Murandy
The first one who helped me out. He talked me into the Economic Powerhouse but left the game a few real months later. Laguna must be the only one who might still remember him.

Loire
What can I say? He was there when I entered a chatroom for the first time - no kidding! - about 2 years ago. An extraordinary friendship followed, and that is an understatement. Like all other adjectives I can think of. Allow me to quote Texas' "Black Eyed Boy":
"You should know // That there's nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy // You will find // Your own space and time
Yeh, you should know // You're falling into fiction
I can tell // You're on some foolish mission"
That should do :P

Calloe
My furry friend :-) Thank you for answering my questions when I still was a small fish. I wish you all the best, in the game and in RL.

Kenny - DGoe
When the SC chat still worked, you were one of the few rational voices. This game - and this planet too - could use more people like you. God bless Sweden!

Barney
Despite your sometimes controversial position, I will remember you as an honest and interesting player. Don't hesitate to kick*ss, this game and a lot of its players need it. Good luck ;-)

LH
For being the only enemy left. Like an ultramodern terrorist you are impossible to destroy, impossible to understand and thus freaking out certain Americans :P

Ameche
You learnt me that gun-loving Americans with a sh*tload of confirmed kills on their name can be very pleasant company. Always willing to help, always there for a good conversation. To me, you are a player and a friend... as it should be! *imitates latest coca-cola ad*

I would also like to thank: Ace & Ruger for being enemies the word worthy, Vicious for carrying out the last beautiful war effort, SimpleTed & Dizzy for the profound social dimension they once put in the chatroom, Flewis and other n00bs for kicking the community now and then, DavePat & Owen for their presence on FB when few were (are?) there and Klarina for her inspiring feminity.

And last but not least, there are Sam, Wild, Treasurer, Dubthaigh, Claws, Daconia... and so many more.
Sorry that I never took the time to get to know you better. You're all magnificent persons... I hope you'll enjoy this game as much as possible and RL too of course.

Signed,

Ambiorix The Great.
