Addendum: Had to run some quick math calculations before I spoke out about this. By the game standards, the market value is determined by multiplying the share price by the number of existing shares. I ran the numbers on my corps, both private and public, and they were dead on each time. So in game terms, market value is directly correlated to share price. Share price is indeed determined by the interest in your corp by other entities (at least I HOPE that's how the game determines it), but the lesson seems to be in game terms, DON'T take that corp public if the share price is high. Which seems sort of bass-ackwards to me. Perhaps T can get some more definitive answers from the Jozi chats. Thanks, JMR32.
