Ari 1 is right about talkers and doers. people often take progressive positions when talking but when it comes to action they fade into the wood work. it only takes a few people who are willing to organize others to make a difference. what you're talking about is doable. are you old enough to vote. if you are find other young people who are old enough to vote. just start with 2 o 3 people and go from there. look for leaders. a leader is someone that has a constituency and some passion. a constituency can be just 3 or 4 people. but it 3 or 4 leaders have constituencies of 3or 4 each you've already got 12-16. with that many people, in a town of 2000 your could elect the mayor and change the school board. i've seen it done.
