Don't make assumptions on where I get my information. I am not very liberal; I think Obama will be just as bad as Bush in the Middle East but thats another discussion. Hussein was a bad man. He did pay for the families of suicide bombers to rebuild there houses. However, at the same time Iran paid for the militants weapons and then trained them and directed them. Don't forget that Hussein was never directly tied to attacks on the US. Iran on the other hand has been through its own actions and the actions of Hezbollah.

Iraq had no benefit for Americans and thus it was not justified. Any conservative should be able to see that. Our bases in Saudia Arabia controlled the Gulf, our base in Yemen countrol the straits of Aqaba, and our ally Israel controlled the Mediterranean access of the Arabic countries. We already had direct influence over the region. Nation building doesn't exist so why enter Iraq?

The best way to enact foriegn policy is with combined diplomacy and military force. Carter was ineffective because he threw out military force. Bush was ineffective because he threw out diplomacy.

The guts to do something does not impress me. Alot of Klan members back in the day had the guts to go against authority for their own beliefs. The knowledge to know right from wrong and pursue the righteous impresses me and that was totally lacking in Bush's calculations.
