I think that nations that are in your federation or that grant your troops access (aka allies of yours) should have their units appear purple on your screen. Countries who you are not at war with nor allied with (aka neutral), should have gray units. Countries you are in war with should have their units remain red as it is now. This would help reduce confusion significantly during joint operations in war. |
