Seriously, though, unless someone genetically engineers petroleum trees, NO planted crop of anything can make a dent in energy demand. It's just physics, Austia, energy in-energy out. It is, however, a wonderful recipe for global starvation. Rising food costs hit the poor and already starving. But then again, environmentalists hate humanity, so maybe their love for biofuel is all upside for them.
