interesting thoughts dynamic

im not sure there is a cost in maintaining supplies. I havent figured this section out myself yet either, but I have managed to make it positive by making sure i buy (and consume) cheap goods (just as dynamic said , there are plenty of opportunities)

I have also made it go quite negative by selling myself expensive goods on the common market to support some of my corporations in times of large surplus. This has proven very effective for the corporations, with little effect from the materials acocunting hitting my country yet.

im not certain that materials accounting adds nothing to governemnt cost, despite what badkarma said.

ive watched my govt spending increase from a few hundred M to 6B as soon as it goes negative.

what might be happening is that there is a (small) maximum number being added to the govt cost from materials deficits. Once this maximum is reached, then no more costs are added, and if you are making more money than that max cost..then you are profiting.

until/if jozi increases it anyway :) (which I see as both likely and good)

phaedrus - you werent formerly known as 'emersonia' , were you?
