I am now convinced that someone (or something, more likely) at W3C is counter-manipulating steel. Supply just doesn't raise that fast-- and the fact that there are five new steel corporations since I started (out of 400 some) doesn't adequately account for the increase. It has kept pace with orders at half price that dwarfed the previous market for steel by 4-5x.
I think that all this new supply is an automatic "feature"... which is mind-boggling.
