True enough Guapo, but the US gets about 18% from the ME(last figures I saw) and Europe is over 80%. The point is that the term collateral damage was an American invention. Do you really believe our european friends would not use ANY means necessary to keep their economies functioning? Japan is pushing 90% dependency on ME oil. Yup, we Americans do consume the lions share, but we are also trending down per capita and actively exploring alternatives. You might check out a book call "Hard Green, Soft Green" for some interesting data on the subject.
