i can't remember offhand without looking at old attack notes if MC's fire before or after DH. i'd be very surprised if they fired first though.

i'm not sure why you're worried about the airports. war damage repairs quickly (doesn't military stuff get first priority?), and you *should* already have enough ammo and air defence already to deal with an attacking force that operates within attack limits, 10k in your case. you might prefer to only have enough DH for a 100-150k response and buy some anti-fleet weaponry to back it up.

anyway, noone should ever have more than 2 defensive airports. it's just asking for trouble. if you have only 2, the worst they can do is stop you from buying more def equipment. unless there are some nasty exploits that allow players to ignore attack limits or air defenses, i wouldn't worry about it. *touches wood*

if you *still* don't like this, put SRMB's on your airport- and have only one airport for best efficiency. they would be *far* more resource efficient for protecting against the tactic you're talking about than 500k DH.

according to the docs, you'd need a 600k+ DH response to kill 10k MC's before they can fire anything. that's 9.6M LLW + MLM. you'd need 700k LLW + MLM to staff the 100k SRMBs neccessary to kill 10k MC's before they can fire at your airport. can you spare 9.6M soldiers?

that said, i still don't see the point of having 100k SRMB just so that you can protect an airport- you're just gaining a false sense of security. if you don't already have the weapons you need at the start of the war, then you've already lost. when the war starts, it doesn't matter how much damage your single airport takes.
