I would really like to see the SimCountry game be more market driven.

What I mean by that is that things like share prices, interest rates, and commodity prices should not be set by the system, but by what prices players are prepared to buy/sell the items for.

In The Real World (tm), there is in principle no such thing as a demand without a supply or a supply without demand of shares, if there were a demand but not a supply, the price would rise until either someone was prepared to sell or no one was prepared to buy at that price.

I think it would make the game more realistic, simpler for the developers because they don't need to make algorithms to set prices, and more interesting to see how the prices and interest rates would change purely from the actions of the players. Would we see stock market rallies and crashes? What would the interest rates be if they were limited to how much people were prepared to lend?
