Dominik - also I don't know what appears on your SC home page but on the top of mine in the far right hand corner the flag of the Netherlands is displayed. Please don't think that my displeasure with the GM has anything to do with your country as it absolutely does not.

I know it doesn't, no worries ^^ I wouldn't have known what the connection could have been between disliking the GM and disliking an entire country in any case :P

I'm trying to find more information about what could have happened, but all the available information is hidden. The Dutch Chamber of Commerce collects all the information about the company (incl. owners etc.), but accessing that information requires the payment of a fee:

The only (useless) information that I could find for free, is that is registered in a home in a residential area with two other ICT related companies.

I wanted to be of help, but in the end my information is quite useless, I think :P

the home of this game is in netherlands?
that maybe why i'm having so much stresses trying to decifer the logic of the game :)

i've loss billions SC$ in the less few earth days, even though over 95% of my corps turn a profit every game month. i just cannot yet find the holes that my billions are going through every earth day.

let's hope that nothing too serious in earth life for our w3c masters, and that sc will come back to be better.

if this game ever gets hand over to me, it will be based in america (the model for this game) or in its best friend in asia, downunder :)

OK,So this game is based in a home in a residential neighborhood around Amsterdam....Well, I know what happened, The pantload pissed off his mother so she coldcocked his butt and took his internet privleges away, probably for a month, so we'll hear from them in a couple of weeks.

Actually, what little i know about the creator of the game, he's rather bright. Seriously, this is going a bit far. I ask some of you to rethink the level of irritation you have with a game.

I know, coming from me, pot kettle black. but seriously, this is a bit weird. its like your internet stalking the GM.

You know, they have been know to take vacations.

That's true; he did create the most realistic game that's available on the internet, and there's even a free version of it ^^ Besides, most other games don't allow or just don't have this level of consultation with the client community (they even take insults against them). When other games put forward changes, it's a take-it-or-leave-it. So, credits for the GMs from this point of view!

However, some people are just angry that announced changed that have a negative impact on (almost?) everyone's economy have been implemented at a much earlier stage (my economy, for example, has not (yet) been affected). Especially when you've put lots of money into this game (which, again, is not my case), the absence of all GMs can be quite annoying.

No what has gone toooo far, are their actions and their abuse of our trust in this, yes, game.

And I know he is a smart guy, I first played in 2005 and at that time he had been written up in a couple of magazines...I think he was/is from Sweden, but I could be wrong.

Maybe I am the one who is crazy. I have not seen any real effect on my economy. I am seeing a real drop in the overall cost of key supplies especially in the cost of weapons and ammo. My corp has not lost it's ranking and even my cash position has been improving after sale of retained products over prior sales. I have even found less of a need to raid c3's. I did vote in the poll to return the ASQ computation back to the original computation, but that was a protest vote based on the GM's failure to explain the change, However, even at the time of he change, I saw no real effect on my game. Yes, my nominal value has dropped, but I have never cared about that. Maybe this is all much ado about nothing? All that said, I do wish the GM would pay me the damn gold coins I should have won for my CEO ranking.
