Lemme guess. A gm? Hey, oh wellz. When players universally don't like the changes you make then you will hear from them. Simple. When changes are as drastic as these were, then you'll really hear from them. Rather have a dead game where you don't?
Time heals all wounds. Right now players are sore at the gm's. That will pass and players will get used to it and the love will come back. : D Let's just play and have fun. Learn to excel with the new game parameters. Look at it as a challenge. They have their reasons and we still have our wars to wage and Empires to build.

In the mean time we are all voting for great new features and post proposals on the forum while we do not allow the developers to spend their time making these features.
We are angry too, and hate them for not developing these features.
A very fine community indeed. -------
But what game does not have players hating on the GM's or the developers, shoot i play hundred of games during my free time and their are forums dedicated to hating on all the biggest and smallest game dvelopers. Their are over 100+ forums for hating on EA. Do not be woried when they are hating be woried when no one is hating and no one is paying attention. Like everyone says bad repuations are better than no reputations at all, it is better to be hated than not be be known at all. but that does not mean i hate the game, no i just offer sugestions, shoot, i have been playing off and on since 07 and i think i have paid at least $130 towards the game in total. With the amount of free games out there i could have been playing those but i did not i played this one and choose to continue playing this one cuase i like it, but than there are some things that i do not like, and one of them is the change in gold coin policy.

Shoot one of the best sugestions I have made to simcountry that could bring in money to simcountry and also bring in thousands of free players is SPONSORPAY and it has not yet been implemented. Sponsorpay allows free players to get ingame currency. EA uses it and also major game developers and small game developers. I should get the BIGGEST SUGGESTION AWARD ever for suggesting this to simcountry, but all i noticed on the voting page was we --- will look into it. Come on this was the best suggestion any player has suggested in a while.

Romeo, Just a couple of observations on your thread here.
The first:...your opening line. "If I start a new discussion, it means that we are in sh*t up to our ears."
In the movie "The Sands of Iwo Jima" there is a similar line..."Men, if we don't take that hill, we are in sh*t up to our ears."
So I was wondering... Did you steal that line from the movie?
The second: It's pretty clear that your advocating for what your perception is of w3cs point of view. That's fine.
However to insinuate that players are greedy, cash grabbing, lazy, don't want to war to make a buck, are not sensitive to w3cs problems etc...
Are you kidding. The GMs set down the rules and enable the functions. Players play within them.
They come up with their own strategy and pursue it to their own advantage.
We are all advocates of this game. No one plays hoping it will fail. There is more willingness to help than you give credit for.
A couple of players you directly reference are always..always..a very positive and constructive influence in this game.
Last thing I was wondering..
Are we to assume this discussion is the "new" discussion for "sh*t up to our ears" purposes, or would that be the next "new discussion".
I don't mean this to be offensive, just consider it a nonsense response to a nonsense subject.
PS If you have any CG you want to sell, PM me.
