I think several changes should be made to weapons.
1. Add a description of the weapons, state what they are good against, and what counters them. Also put in their range, especially on defense.
2. The ability to re-activate your entire military if declared upon. for obvious reasons.

The proposal has been ACCEPTED.
The weapons document includes a very detailed list, per weapon, of its effects against any other weapon and it includes a list of weapons that are effective against it. These weapons show in turn the details of how effective they are against it.
The range of defensive weapons is in most cases not relevant as the attack takes place very close to these weapons in the country they defend and the range is short. Ranges also show in the weapons document.
The reserves are a way to reduce the cost of the army but there is a drawback. They become available at 10% per game month. Auto activation is already implemented for contributing players.
If we allow full activation at once, what is the point in having the reserves at all? Lower cost can be achieved by reducing the maintenance price. That would be much easier than building this reserves system with extra pages, many details, computation of costs etc.
The reserves are a way to reduce the cost but there is a trade off. The weapons are not available all the time. The choice is yours. You can have them all available and pay the full cost or reduce the cost and accept the limited availability.
