War Occupation Status: Please read our response

Detailed Description:

I believe that it would add to the realistic quality of the game if, upon winning a war with another country, the victor has the choice to either take over the country, or simply to occupy it. Essentially, the resources and finances of the defeated country would fall under the control of the winner. The winning nation could adjust how much money/resources get transferred to the main country much like taxes are controlled. Soldiers would need to be stationed in the defeated country belonging to the winner, which, should they so choose, the defeated country could try to rise against if so desired. It would add to the realism of the game in the sense that rarely, in wars today, do defeated nations become a part of the aggressor's territory, but rather are simply controlled by it. It's just an idea, feel free to tweak, but I think it would be a great feature, and a lot of fun. One would get more satisfaction in torturing a bothersome neighbor this way, rather than obliterating them! =)

W3Creative reaction:

We like the idea. It could be done when the war process is transformed into a more invasion like game where parts of a country are occupied. The country could be a "Protectorate", the old president is governing it but it pays a sum, each month to the occupying country.

We see many interesting aspects but it is quite complex. We are adding this to our wish list as a function that will make a big difference and should have a high priority.
