Detailed Description:
As is, CMs are a catch 22. You can buy products at a lower cost from other members or on your own local market, but this reduces profitability.... So then it becomes an incentive to get out of the CM or to at least offer your products on the open intl market rather than on the CM. I propose that there be tariffs and shipping taxes on products that enter one's country from a foreign state, that isn't within one's empire. This means that local market contracts get an immediate boost because the products are cheaper than buying overseas. Joining a CM should also eliminate the tariffs so that all CM members can trade freely with each other and all those outside the common market get their goods taxed. The taxes should go to the countries buying the products which would create an extra revenue stream, however, the revenue stream should not be so great as to discourage people from joining in a CM. The CMs should also have a limit on the number of members so that large conglomerate CMs are impossible.....ex: there would be no point to any of it if there was a one world CM.
